NEW YORK – The Hellenic Lawyers Association (HLA) hosted its 33rd Annual Scholarship Dinner Gala honoring Nikiforos Mathews and Attorney of the Year Maria Raptis on November 10 at the Pierre Hotel in New York City.

HLA President George Zapantis gave the welcoming remarks thanking everyone for attending and acknowledging the dignitaries present including Permanent Representative of Greece to the United Nations Ambassador Evangelos Sekeris and his wife Maria Kazana Sekeris, Consul General of Greece in New York Dinos Konstantinou, Consulate General of Greece in New York Department of Economic and Commercial Affairs Head Nikolaos Thomopoulos, Greek Public Diplomacy Office Head Mary Vaxevanidou, and New York State Assemblyman Michael Tanoussis.

NEW YORK – The Hellenic Lawyers Association (HLA) honored members of the judiciary and Judge Helen Voutsinas, Associate Justice of the New York State Appellate Division, Second Department, at its Annual Judiciary Night on June 13 at Kyma Hudson Yards in Manhattan. Among the approximately 200 guests at the well-attended event were 45 judges, HLA members, law students, family and friends who came to support the organization and Judge Voutsinas.

PN Lawyers partner Taso Pardalis was among the HLA members who had their names read in open court before all sitting justices as they were admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.

The event was held by six organizations, Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce (HACC), Hellenic Medical Society of New York (HMSNY), Cyprus-U.S. Chamber of Commerce (CUSCC), Hellenic Professional Women Inc. (HPW), Hellenic Lawyers Association (HLA), and HABA – Hellenic American Association for Professionals in Finance, and was as always a well-attended event.
